Concert benefits Commercial Music Endowed ScholarshipFLORENCE, Ala. - Tickets are on sale now for Mac McAnally's Nov. 12 benefit concert at the University of North Alabama. The show, which will begin at 8 p.m. in Norton Auditorium, is part of UNA's 2009-10 Distinguished Events Series. Tickets, available at u2n.tootsierocha.com/macmcanally, are $25. Tickets are $10 for UNA students. All proceeds will benefit UNA's Commercial Music Endowed Scholarship. McAnally, a Shoals resident and internationally acclaimed songwriter and performer, is nominated for CMA's 2009 Musician of the Year. He is currently on tour with Jimmy Buffett. Prior to his concert in Norton, McAnally will make a special performance at the President's Donor Dinner. This exclusive performance will be for alumni and friends contributing $1,000 or more to any UNA scholarship, program or capital fund through the UNA Foundation between Oct. 1, 2008, and Sept. 30, 2009. Attendees of this special performance will also receive complimentary tickets to McAnally's Distinguished Events Series concert following the dinner.
